Mercedes-Benz Financial Services

Mercedes-Benz Financial Services is a leading provider of “captive financial services”—that is, a subsidiary that offers credit, leasing, insurance, and/or other types of loans to customers buying the parent company’s products. In this case, the parent company is Daimler AG (formed in 1926 via a formal merger of German automobile manufacturers Benz & Cie. and Daimler Motoren Gesellschaft AG); and the products are Mercedes-Benz cars, trucks, and buses, and protection services for those vehicles.

The American branch of the company has over 1,100 employees spread among four US locations, and is headquartered in Farmington Hills, Michigan.

While “financial services” might sound rather dry, according to Senior Manager of Human Resources Mary Hughes, “We help make people’s dreams come true…It is the aspirational dream of many to own a Mercedes-Benz vehicle; or to be a successful dealership; or to maintain a prosperous business with a fleet of trucks, vans, or buses.”

Working for this company can also make your own dreams of driving a premium car come true, because among employee perks are attractive discounts on buying or leasing a Mercedes-Benz.
